Whatever Wednesdays!
Location: Memorial Baptist Church, 113 Bruce Street, Stratford
Dates & Times: 1-3 PM on the following Wednesdays
July: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th
August: 5th, 12th, 26th
September: 2nd
Activities: Giant Soccer, Board Games, Volleyball, Tie Dye, Basketball, Yard Games, Dodgeball, Pickleball, etc. Each date will have one activity, which may be indoors or outdoors. The activity for each date is TBD depending on weather and number of participants.
What to bring: Sunscreen, a water bottle, a hat, running shoes, and your sense of fun!
Toronto Zoo Day Trip
Date: Friday June 26th
Departure: 8:30 AM from the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford
Please arrive before 8:30 so that we can depart at 8:30.
Return: 7:30 – 8:00 PM to the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford
We hope to return at 7:30, but are allowing some buffer time for traffic.
Cost: $50/student (plus money for lunch if student wishes to purchase lunch instead of bringing it with them.)
If cost is a barrier to your student attending, please contact us (both kate.h@yfcstratford.com and samuel.c@yfcstratford.com) about subsidies- we believe money should never prevent students from participating!
What to bring: A water bottle, a backpack, sunscreen, a hat, good walking shoes, and a lunch (or money to purchase lunch).
We will provide coolers to store lunches in our vehicle(s). If you would prefer to purchase your lunch, please ensure that you bring enough money to cover the cost of your meal. If you would like to check prices at the different restaurants around the zoo, you can check their menus here.
What to expect: Lots of walking, freedom to check out exhibits in pairs or groups, with multiple check-ins with leaders required throughout the day.
Waterloo Day Trip
Date: Friday, July 17th
Departure: 10:30 AM from the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford
Please arrive before 10:30 so that we can depart at 10:30.
Return: 5:15 PM to the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford
Cost: $20/student, plus money for thrift stores if students plan to make purchases.

What to bring: A water bottle, a backpack, sunscreen, a hat, good walking shoes, and a lunch.
We will provide coolers to store lunches in our vehicle(s). We will not make a stop to purchase lunch, so students must bring their own meal.
What to expect: We’ll be going to the Waterloo Regional Museum, and checking out the Pioneer Village at the museum. We’ll head to a nearby park (Huron Natural Area) for a picnic lunch, and then shop at a thrift store or two before heading home.
Hiking Trip #1
Date: Friday, July 24 (Backup date if weather doesn’t cooperate: Monday, July 27th)
Departure: 9 AM from the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford.
Please arrive before 9:00 so that we can depart at 9:00.
Return: 3 PM to the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford.
Cost: Free!
What to bring: A water bottle, a backpack, sunscreen, a hat, good shoes for walking (like hiking boots!), and a lunch.
We will provide coolers to store lunches in our vehicle(s). We will not make a stop to purchase lunch, so students must bring their own meal.
What to expect: We’ll be going to the Hilton Falls Conservation Area to go for a hike over semi-rugged terrain, checking out a beautiful waterfall, and enjoying time outdoors. We’ll have a picnic lunch together before we head home.
Niagara Falls Day Trip
Date: Friday, August 7
Departure: 8 AM from the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford.
Please arrive before 8 AM so that we can leave at 8:00.
Return: 8:00–8:30PM to the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford.
We hope to return at 8:00, but are allowing some buffer time for traffic.
Cost: $40/student, plus money to purchase dinner on the way home (we’ll stop for fast food, so roughly $20 should cover this).
We also recommend bringing some spending money if you plan to buy touristy things or snacks during the day.

What to expect: We’ll be going to Niagara Falls to see the Falls, then to the Bird Kingdom. Next, we’ll stop at the Queenston Heights park for a picnic lunch, and finish the day at Fort George National Historic Site. We will stop at a fast food place on our way home for dinner.

Date: Friday, August 28th (Backup date if weather doesn’t cooperate: Monday, August 31st)
Departure: 9 AM from the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford.

Return: 3:30 PM to the parking lot at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Stratford.
Cost: Free!

What to expect: We’ll be going to Rattlesnake Point & Crawford Lake Conservation Areas (near Milton) to go for a hike on the Escarpment. We’ll have the chance to check out a replica Iroquoian village, some amazing views, and enjoy time outdoors. We’ll have a picnic lunch together before we head home.
End of Summer Campfire
Date: Thursday, September 3
Location: 80 East Perth Road 130, Sebringville, ON (Kate’s Home)
Your GPS may list the address as Mitchell, but it will still take you to the correct location!
Arrival: 7:00 PM
Pickup: 10:00 PM
Cost: Free!
What to bring: Lawn chairs, sweater, pants, bug spray, flashlight, a water bottle.
What to expect: We’re wrapping up our summer with a chill hangout by a campfire, making s’mores and other campfire cuisine, and great conversation!
